Set minimum and maximum ticket quantities
Use this when a booking must contain at least a certain number of tickets, or when one customer must not exceed a ticket limit.
What minimum quantity means
The Min quantity on a price row is the smallest quantity that can be selected for that price in one cart line. For example, a Group price with Min quantity 10 means the customer must select at least 10 group tickets.
Minimum quantity does not automatically combine separate customers into one group. It applies to the current cart selection.
How to set it
- Open Services > Events or Event templates.
- Open the offer and select Prices.
- Add or edit the group price row.
- Choose Price category and the synchronized Product, then check the displayed customer price.
- Enter Min quantity and Max quantity.
- Confirm Visible on the following sales channels.
- Select Update prices.
What customers see
| Setup | Customer impact |
|---|---|
| Min quantity is 1 | Customer can buy one ticket. |
| Min quantity is 10 | Customer must select 10 or more from that price. |
| Max quantity is 20 | Customer cannot exceed 20 from that price in one order. |
| Price not visible on Online shop | Customer cannot select it online. |
The maximum order value configured for the system currency in KORONA can further reduce the quantity available in one order. The online shop includes the other items already in the cart when it calculates this limit. If the order would exceed the configured value, the shop asks the customer to reduce the quantity before continuing.
Expected result
The online shop and POS enforce the minimum and maximum quantity for that price.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Customer cannot select group price | Min quantity, remaining capacity, sales channel visibility, and open cart quantity. |
| Shop shows a maximum order value message | Reduce the selected quantities, or review the system currency's maximum value in KORONA. |
| Shop cannot verify the maximum order value | Change the selected quantity to retry the check, or reload the shop page. |
| Discount should apply across multiple orders | Use an approved coupon or staff process; minimum quantity applies per cart line. |
| POS behaves differently from shop | POS sales channel, active POS price row, and cashier-selected quantity. |
